I don't know where Ubuntu is (but I'm guessing northern Serengeti somewhere?), but your combinations of bird species looks surprising - is that really a Dusky Flycatcher there? More typically a highland forest species, I'd expect Grey or possibly Pale to be the common flycatcher in the habitats of the other species on your list ... for good bird pics have a look at http://www.tanzaniabirds.net/alphabetical1.htm
ReplyDeleteI'll obviously just have to come and visit...

Hi Colin
ReplyDeleteYes it is in Northern Serengeti, when I saw the list I also thought Dusky Flycatcher to be interesting, will get them to re check, and welcome anytime to visit.
Cheers
Joe
Don't know how to contact you direct, so here's my list from Ubuntu back in Sept. Some good birds here - Stout Cisticola are pretty tricky everywhere these days, whilst Green-capped Eremomela is a Miombo specialist with a strange and rarely seen population in the northern Serengeti.
